You’re deaf each time I scream and shout
I’m telling you—this isn’t fun!
It’s not fun to know when your heart’s not in it.
You’re burning a hole in my stomach—!
Nobody loves you like I do
And it’s ripping me
—Apart!
—Tearing—
You know that nobody else dreams of you at night
Or thinks of you each passing day.
So
don’t tell me it was a mistake . . .
You know it’s true and so do I—
So if you love me—
Prove it.
